How To Make 3D Bird Craft
Time needed: 15 minutes
- Cut the construction paper
Choose a colored construction paper of your choice to make the body of the DIY bird and cut out a circle from it.
We used pink paper for the body and a 12cm diameter for our circle. - Fold the circle
To make the body of the bird, fold the circle in half.
- Make wings of the bird
To make feathers, take a craft paper and fold it in accordion folds to get a fan shape. Next, make a small slit on the folded circle near the flat edge to slide the wings in.
- Cut out tail feathers and beak for the bird
Use craft paper in different colors and cut out small hearts from it to make the tail feathers of your simple bird craft. Cut a small triangle for the beak.
- Glue the beak
Paste the beak of the bird from under the fold, just below the edge. Next, using a sharpie draw the eye and eyelashes of the bird.
- Fix the tail feathers
Fold the heart cut-outs to make a crease and paste them on the body of the bird craft to make its tail. Use a pink felt-tip pen to draw a small blush just below the eye of the bird to make it look cute.
- Attach the wings
Lastly, to complete your fun bird craft, slide in the accordion fold wings through the slit.
That’s all! Your 3D bird craft is ready to rock. Just give it a gentle push to see how gracefully it swings from side to side.
