How To Make DIY Mother’s Day Trophy
Step 1: Take a paper cup and cover it with a craft paper of your choice. You can even use coloured paper cups.
Step 2: Cut two thin strips of craft paper to make the handles of the paper cup trophy craft.
Step 3: Glue the strips on either side of the trophy cup as shown. Cut away the extra strip.
Step 4: Take blue construction paper and cut out a star shape from it. Paste it on the cup.
Step 5: To make the base of the Mother’s day trophy, take another paper cup and cover its base. Cut out the uncovered part of the paper cup and discard it.
Step 6: Take red construction paper and cut out a 5 cm wide paper strip from it to make the neck of the trophy. Fold it along the length at 1 cm and make small cuts along the fold as shown.
Step 7: Roll the strip to make a cylinder. Fold the cuts at the bottom to give support to the cylinder to make it sturdy and glue it on the base of the trophy.
Step 8: Glue the trophy cup on the neck.
Step 9: Use glitter pens to make strokes along the star cutout. Lastly, cut a strip of white paper, write ‘Best Mom’ on it and paste it on the base of your paper cup Mother’s day trophy.
