How To Make Dinosaur Out of Paper Plates
Time needed: 20 minutes
- Take a paper plate and cut it
Select a paper plate, clean it, and cut it in half. We will use one half of a paper plate to make the body of the dinosaur craft.
- Print and trace the template
Print out the dinosaur craft template, trace the patterns on the selected craft papers, and cut them out using scissors. Use a sharpie to draw the eye on the eye base cutout.
- Fix the eyes and toes
Paste the toe-nail cutouts on the bottom of the leg cutouts. Glue the eye on the face of the dinosaur.
- Paint the body of the dinosaur
Paint half of the paper plate and let it dry. Once dry, paste the dot cutouts on the body to make the spots of the dinosaur.
- Glue the scales of the dinosaur
Paste the scale cutouts along the round side of the painted paper plate to make the scales of the dinosaur craft.
- Paste the tail and head
Glue the tail on one side of the half paper plate and the head on the opposite side of the paper plate.
- Attach the legs of the dinosaur
Next, glue the leg along the bottom side of the paper plate to complete the body of your dinosaur craft.
- Complete the face
Use a sharpie to draw a cute smile and nostrils on the face to complete your paper plate dinosaur.
Easy peasy, isn’t it? This paper plate craft is just the perfect way to get kids to practice their fine motor skills and channel their love for these prehistoric creatures.
Let your kids experiment with the colors and make dinosaurs in colors of their choice. They can also make patterns on the body and the dino’s plates using sharpie to make their very own version of paper plate dinosaur craft.
