Step By Step Instructions
Time needed: 25 minutes
- Prepare Your Materials
Take two paper plates of the same size and one toilet paper roll. Print out template and cut out the elements on craft paper.
- Make the Mushroom Stem
Flatten the TP roll gently on a table and trim its corners into rounded edges to make stem of the mushroom craft. Paint the TP roll with cream acrylic paint. Keep it aside and let it dry completely.
- Make the Mushroom Cap
Cut about one-fifth side of each paper plate and round-off the corners to give the paper plate a cap-like shape to make the top of the mushroom. Paint both plates red, or choose any other bright color of your choice to make mushroom house craft.
- Add White Dots
Paste the white mushroom dots on the paper plate.
- Assemble the Cap
Glue the top edges of both painted paper plates together, leaving a small opening at the bottom. This will be where the stem, that is the TP roll in this case, fits in.
- Attach the Stem
Insert the top of the painted TP roll into the small gap between the two attached paper plates. Apply craft glue to secure the paper plate cap firmly to the TP roll mushroom stalk.
- Add the Details
Attach the door cutout to the front of the TP roll to transform your mushroom craft into a cute fairy house! Trace the door using a sharpie to add dimension.
Next, glue the bottom of the TP roll to the base cutout and attach small tree shapes on both sides to complete your mushroom paper plate craft for kids.
