How To Make Paper Hyacinth Craft
Step 1: Take green colored craft paper for the stem and leaves and choose construction paper of your choice to make paper hyacinth flower craft. We choose lavender colour for this craft.
Step 2: Cut a 7cm x 8.5cm strip of paper for the flower. For the stem, cut 5cm x 8.5cm strip. Also cut out a grass-like pattern with 5-6 blades from green paper for the leaves.
Step 3: Take the flower strip and fold it in half lengthwise.
Step 4: Apply glue along the open side and paste the open sides together.
Step 5: Make a thin fold of about one cm along the glued side of the flower strip.
Step 6: Use a pair of scissors to cut thin slits along the folded side (not the glued side). Be careful not to cut the paper all the way through and paste the glued portion. The neater and even the slits are, the prettier the flower will be.
Step 7: Puff up the slits by the tip of your finger to give petals a nice fluffy look.
Step 8: Take the stem strip and coil it diagonally from a corner. Apply glue while coiling the stem strip to keep the coiling nice and secured.
Step 9: Take the flower strip and apply glue along the plain edge.
Step 10: Coil the glued part of the flower strip around the stem from one side. Make sure to hold the flower pattern slightly diagonally while coiling it around the stem.
Step 11: Coil the entire flower strip and apply glue at the end again to secure the flower with the stem.
Step 12: Take the leaf cutout and apply glue along the straight side of the pattern.
Step 13: Hold the grass pattern slightly diagonally below the flower part and coil the grass pattern around the stem neatly.
That’s it! Your Hyacinth craft is ready. Make a couple of them in different colours and put them in a vase next to a window or your desk.
