- Construction paper
- Pencil
- Craft glue

How To Make Easy Paper Plate Crab Craft for Kids
Time needed: 20 minutes
- Print and trace the crab craft template
Select a paper plate for this craft. Trace the crab template on the paper plate and cut out the top side of the crab’s layout from the paper plate. The two round parts on the top are for the eyes.
You can easily adjust the template patterns according to the size of the plate because the patterns are very easy to trace. - Colour the paper plate crab’s body.
Use acrylic paint to fill the crab paper plate layout. We used bright orange and applied 2 coats of paint for a neat finish. Let the paper plate dry.
- Cut out the eyes, legs and claws from the template.
Trace the template on bright orange construction paper for paper plate crab’s legs and claws. For the eyes, use white craft paper and use sharpie to fill the eye base cutouts.
- Paste eyes, legs and claws
Glue the eyes, legs and claws to the body of the paper plate crab.
- Add finishing touches
Use a sharpie to draw the mouth and attach the blush cutouts on both cheeks to complete the paper plate crab craft.
That’s it! Your paper plate crab craft is ready to hit your kid’s sandbox (or the beach)!
Crabs come in various colours, so feel free to change the colours as per your child’s preference or availability of craft supplies.
