American Patriotic Corner Bookmark Craft

- Red origami sheet
- Construction paper
- Scissors

How To Make Patriotic Bookmark
Time needed: 20 minutes

Take a red origami sheet. Place it on a flat surface with one corner pointing up and fold it in half to form a triangle.

Fold the right corner of the triangle towards the top corner. Repeat with the left corner so both sides meet at the top, forming a kite-like shape.

Take the two open top-layer corners and fold them downwards to meet the bottom corner. Crease well to secure the folds.

Gently open out the side flaps (left and right) so they spread outwards. Next, fold the top flap downward to meet the bottom corner.

Tuck in the top half of the left and right sides inside the pocket to make the corner bookmark.

Take white craft paper and cut out thin strips to make the lines of the flag. Paste them on the corner bookmark leaving a triangle shape at the top left corner as shown.

Next, use blue construction paper and cut out a small triangle from it. Paste it on the corner bookmark.

Lastly, use a star punch hole to make small white stars for the American flag and paste them on the blue triangle.
