Easy Rainbow Fish Craft
With so many rainbow fish craft ideas out there, we thought why not make an easy rainbow fish craft that also doubles up as a fun DIY paper toy?
We had a tonne of colored paper lying around the house, so we decided to make good use of them to make this fun rainbow fish craft.
This Rainbow fish paper craft for kids is quite creative and allows children plenty of space to add their creativity to the craft.
Supplies To Make Rainbow Fish Craft For Kids
- Construction paper in black and rainbow colors
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly eye
- White correction pen
How To Make Rocking Rainbow Fish Craft
Time needed: 15 minutes
- Make the body of the fish.
Use a bowl to cut out two big circles from black craft paper. Also, cut out three black hearts to make the fins and mouth of the rainbow fish.
- Glue the fins and mouth.
Take one black circle and glue the hearts from the back to make the dorsal and tail fin (caudal fin). Glue a small heart to make the mouth of the rainbow fish. Use a white correction pen to draw lines on the fins.
- Paste a googly eye on the face of the rainbow fish.
- Cut out rainbow-colored scales.
To make the rainbow scales, cut out dollar-sized circles from craft paper in rainbow colors. Then, fold them in half to make the scales for the fish.
- Glue the scales on the body of the rainbow fish craft.
Paste the paper scales on the body of the fish following the VIBGYOR or rainbow color sequence.
- Take the black circle and fold it in half.
Lastly, take the second black circle, fold it into half, and glue it on the back of the rainbow fish craft to make it into a Rocking Rainbow Fish.
That’s all! Your rainbow fish craft is ready to rock. Place it on a flat surface and give it a gentle push to see it rock.
