Instructions:
Time needed: 20 minutes
- Print the template

- Make body of the Spring bird
Take the circle cutout and fold it below and above the center of the circle to make a flat “table-top” shape making sure both curved edges are equal in length.
- Make the bill
Next, fold along the inner sides of the triangle cutout to make the bill of the bird. Glue it on the bird’s body on one end.
- Add tail to bird’s body
Paste the bird’s tail on the opposite end.
- Make eyes of the spring bird
Take the eye cutouts and paste them on either side of the bird’s body near the beak. Make sure to paste only half on the eye cutout on the body with the remaining half above the body as shown. Use a fine tip pen to outline the eye and make an eyeball. Add a mischievous smile on the bill.
- Make circular cutouts
Use a single hole punch to make small circles from coloured craft paper of your choice.
- Make the wings of the spring bird
Glue the round paper cutouts on the bird’s body to make its colourful wings.
- Add the claws
Lastly, glue the claw cutouts at the end to make a V-shape and paste them under the curved part of the bird’ body.
That’s all! Your adorable, colourful spring bird craft is ready to rock and roll! This simple craft for kids is a wonderful way to help kids explore and express their creativity while working on their fine motor skills.

The curved body allows the bird to rock, sneaking in a simple science of shapes and mindfully making it engaging with its rocking motion. We bet kids will love crafting this colourful bird craft and playing with it!
