Supplies for Christmas Night Scene Craft
- Construction paper
- Cotton swabs
- Cotton wool
- Black Sharpie
- Glue
- Double sided tape
- Scissors
How To Make Winter Christmas Scene Craft
Time needed: 30 minutes
- Make the base for the Christmas Night Scene craft
Take blue coloured paper and cut out a circle. This will be the base of your winter Xmas scene craft.
- Add snow to the night landscape
Using glue, cover the bottom one-third of the circle with cotton wool to make snow covered ground. Keep the base aside;
- Make paper Christmas tree
To make a paper Christmas tree, cut out a rectangle from green construction paper and fold it in an accordion style.
Next, fold the accordion paper from the middle and glue the inner sides together to make a triangular paper Christmas tree. - Decorate the tree
Cut out a star from yellow construction paper and small circles from coloured paper to decorate your paper Christmas tree. Paste the elements on the Xmas tree.
- Make trunk of the tree and glue on the base
Make the trunk of the Christmas tree by cutting a long thin rectangle from brown craft paper. Paste it on the base of Xmas night scene craft and glue the paper Christmas tree just above the end of the trunk.
- Cut circle from white paper to make Snowman
Cut four circles of the same size from white construction paper to make the body of the snowman. For Snowman’s face, cut one white circle slightly smaller than the body from white craft paper.
- Make Snowman’s body
To make the body, fold all the circles into half. Paste one folded circle just above the snowy ground as shown.
- Paste the circle to complete the snowman’s body
Using double sided tape, paste the remaining three white circles on the folded circle to complete the body of your paper snowman.
- Make scarf for the snowman
Next, cut a bow from red craft paper and paste it on the body. Glue the snowman’s face just above the body.
- Add snowman’s facial features and buttons
Draw the buttons, eyes and a cute smile with a black sharpie on the snowman. Paste a small carrot nose on the snowman’s face and complete it by making blush with pink sharpie.
- Make snowman’s cap
Next, make the paper snowman’s cap by cutting a triangle from red construction paper. Fold the shorter side of the triangle to make the cap’s base and the top corner sideways. Glue the paper cap on the snowman face.
- Draw snowman’s hands
Finally to complete the snowman, draw stick hands using a black sharpie.
- Glue cotton swabs to make a hut
To make the last element of the winter Xmas scene craft, glue cotton swabs next to each other on the base of Christmas night craft to make a cutesy hut.
- Add roof and chimney to the hut
Cut a triangle and a small rectangle from brown paper to make the roof and chimney. Paste the triangle above the cotton swabs and glue the chimney on the side of the roof facing the snowman.
- Paste window and door on the hut
Cut out a yellow square for the window and red rectangle for the door and glue the elements on the hut. Draw the window panes using a black sharpie. Complete the hut by adding pulled cotton wool on the roof for snow.
- Add stars to the night sky
Finally, paste yellow crumpled paper on the blue night sky background to make twinkling stars.
