Step-By-Step Instructions To Make Paper Plate Butterfly Craft
Step 1: Draw a free hand butterfly wings on the paper plate and cut it out using scissors.
Step 2: Trace the butterfly wing’s cutout on the construction paper, cut it out and paste it on the cutout. We used pink construction paper, but you can use any color!
Step 3: Outline the wings of the butterfly with a pipe cleaner.
We used a glue gun to paste the pipe cleaner, but liquid glue works equally well and is suggested when your little one is bent on doing all the work themselves. In case you are using hot glue, adults are recommended to do this step.
Step 4: To make the body of the butterfly use a plastic spoon and wrap yarn around the stick of the spoon to create an eye-catching pattern.
Step 5: Paste googly eyes on the back of the spoon and attach two antennae to complete the butterfly’s body.
Step 6: Lastly, paste the body of the butterfly on the wings to complete this beautiful butterfly craft.
This is such a fun and easy paper plate craft to make with kids! It takes only a few minutes and gives children ample freedom to incorporate their creativity.
